What is the minimum age to participate in the adventure activities?
For all our daytime activities participants must be aged 8 years or above.
Night time activities require a minimum age of 12.
Does it matter if I’ve never done the Rock Climbing, Abseiling or Kayaking before?
No. No experience is required - All of these include a full briefing in which you will learn how to do the activity.
How soon in advance do I need to book?
General Sessions require a minimum of 48 hours in advance to book. However, we do recommend booking as early as possible, as availability can fill up quickly.
Can I pay on the day?
No. We require payment in advance to confirm the booking. Without payment your spot in the Session is not confirmed. You can pay either via the phone by MasterCard or Visa, or pop into the Centre and pay cash.
What the minimum and maximum number of participants for the General Sessions?
General Sessions have no minimum numbers. Maximum numbers vary for each activity:
Rock Climbing = 24 participants
Abseiling = 36 participants
Kayaking = 55 participants
What is the minimum number of participants for a Private Session?
For Private Sessions a minimum number of 8 participants is required.
What equipment is included?
Rock Climbing – helmet, harness and chalk bag.
Abseiling – helmet, harness and glove.
Kayaking – kayak, paddle and safety vest.
Are shoes included in the Rock Climbing and/or Abseiling?
No. Enclosed shoes must be brought to the Session to participate.
How high are the Kangaroo Point cliffs?
The Kangaroo Point cliffs are on average 20 metres high.
What is the maximum weight the Kayaks carry?
The kayaks can carry up to 147kgs.
Does Riverlife have tandem kayaks and bikes?
No. Riverlife only has individual kayaks and bikes.
